Stop, Drop and Roll

The morning following Nolan's blessing we were woken up at 2 AM by a bright light and a lot of people standing outside. After coming to, we came to the realization that there was a fire somewhere really close, so Chris and I hopped out of bed and ran outside to see what all the commotion was.

Apparently, the fourplex of townhomes 20 feet away from us that were being built caught on fire (which we later found out was arson, and they haven't found the culprit). By the time we got outside the flames were 60 feet high and embers were blowing everywhere.  We watched in horror as the townhomes quickly burned one by one and we were scared that our own home was going to catch on fire.

With the help of a lot amazing firemen (it was a 4 alarm fire), they were able to put the fire out fairly quickly and with no one hurt. We were really lucky as we didn't get damage of any kind at our place or our neighbors.  I am so grateful that we have Firemen and they work round the clock to help protect and keep us safe from harms way.

Here are some video my neighbor took and pictures of the damage - and most of this was shot/taken as the fire was already somewhat contained so you wont see the full effect.
